Giant Full Suspension Mountain Bikes

If you're in search of an economical yet capable trail bike, look no further. This model features quality components and offers a comfortable riding position with plenty of suspension travel for rough trails.

It is an ideal option for novice and intermediate riders alike, with its 125mm travel providing plenty of cushion to overcome difficult sections of trail at moderate speed. Although, its minimal frame width won't let you blast past tough obstacles at top speeds, its versatility should still make light trails manageable.

Giant Full Suspension Mountain Bikes

Frame

Full-suspension mountain bikes are purposefully crafted to handle steep trails with ease while providing extra stability when descending. Their specialized suspension enables riders to travel faster over difficult terrain while having greater control. Although this type of bike requires a larger initial investment, its versatility and comfort offer greater value to riders.

Giant is a dominant force in mountain biking and offers an impressive selection of bikes ranging from XC hardtails to top-tier enduro racing machines. Their models can be divided up based on wheel size, suspension travel distance and frame material - this XC model utilizes Giant's smooth and efficient XTC carbon frame which features internal cable routing along with rack and kickstand mounts for improved efficiency.

Maestro dual-link suspension features an intricate one-piece rocker arm made from compression moulded carbon. Together with the trunnion bearing-mounted shock, this delivers an exceptional ride quality suited for rough and rooty terrain as well as speedy descents. Although not as compliant as either Specialized Stumpjumper 15 or Canyon Spectral models, but with lower anti-squat values for increased pedaling efficiency.

Fork

Giant Bikes is an industry giant in mountain biking. Their selection ranges from top-level enduro racing machines to more economical hardtails. You can upgrade your current mountain bike with one of their full suspension frames or build something entirely custom using their framesets.

This fork can be customized via spring preload adjusters on its stanchions and compression adjusters up its crown, with 100, 120 or 145mm travel options that can accommodate young riders with 20- or 24-inch wheel configurations.

Marzocchi Z1 Coil air-sprung fork canter smoothly through its travel but lacks the suppleness at the beginning of stroke seen with Fox 36 or RockShox Yari models. Furthermore, this fork is heavier. However, if your current setup meets all requirements and you just require something that tracks ground like a coil fork does it is a great choice and also typically more cost effective than most alternatives available today.

Seatpost

If you're in the market for an electric mountain bike, the primary considerations will likely be hardtail or full suspension models. Each has their own distinct set of benefits depending on terrain type and budget constraints.

Full-suspension MTBs tend to provide greater comfort and better traction over rough terrain than hardtail models; however, their additional comfort and handling capabilities often justify the increased expense for most riders.

OneUp's dropper post is an impressive example of how well made these products have become. Its light design and smooth actuation, even under load, makes for easy actuation even under load. Furthermore, unlike some competitors' models that rely on internal floating pistons to operate under load, this OneUp dropper uses an easily replaceable hydraulic cartridge instead. This method makes the dropper much more reliable than earlier designs that relied on coil springs or pins to lock into place a seatpost - thus offering larger riders 200mm stroke stroke in its largest size - this makes it perfect for taller riders as it lets users shorten travel in 4mm increments to find their optimal positioning!

Brakes

In 2021, this bike proved itself as an outstanding performer, still providing great handling and comfort despite sporting larger Maxxis Minion and Dissector tyres. Furthermore, its house componentry remains impressive: in particular its sturdy 34mm Crest fork chassis which gives riders confidence when picking lines on singletrack terrain.

At first we were surprised to discover this XTC model without a thru-axle rear shock mount, but this appears to be done solely as cost cutting measure. Instead it uses an economical FlexPoint suspension design instead of Maestro dual link setup - and works just fine!

Shimano's BR-MT420 four-piston callipers on each wheel with 180mm rotors were an enormous step up from the SRAM Level/Guide units typically found on bikes at this price point and performed beautifully.

Wheels

Giant full suspension mountain bikes feature wheels that contribute significantly to their ride feel and performance, helping riders roll over trail features more easily while carrying speed more effectively over rugged terrain. Depending on your riding style and preferences, you may prefer 29 inch wheels which offer faster rides or smaller 27.5 wheels which offer agility and maneuverability.

Giant's own Stance 29 2 budget model boasts a very impressive feature set for its price point. Utilizing the same 140mm travel Crest fork found on more expensive versions and coupled with Suntour Raidon R shock. Giant also included its own finishing kit which included TranzX travel-adjustable dropper, Contact SL TR35 800mm bars, and Romero SL saddle to complete this great value ride.

The 2022 version of the Trance X has been slightly upgraded with an ALUXX SL aluminium frame which houses 140mm of smooth rear suspension and comes equipped with an ALUXX SL aluminium fork, Fox 36 Performance Elite fork and Fox Float X Performance Elite shock from Fox Racing, Shimano Deore drivetrain components and Tektro brakes.
